We have experience and know, to be wise, you must build an art business with relationships, as opposed to transactions. And frankly, knowing and caring about our collectors and artists on a deeper level just makes life and collecting a lot more fun.
SOJOURN FINE ART is founded and owned by us, Gábor and Christine Svagrik. We have been around art all of our lives. I guess you can say it is in our DNA. I, Gábor Svagrik, grew up in Hungary in the 1970s. At an early age, I was exposed to the paintings by Fredrick Remington through my grandmother’s art books who loved to paint quietly in her studio. Each image I looked at sparked my creative juices and from there my discovery never stopped. At the age of eighteen, I studied at the American Academy of Fine Art in Chicago for three years. This knowledge laid down my solid foundation & life long appreciation for fine art. For the last 29 years, I have implemented and sharpened my ability to see poetic beauty within my work, my peer’s work, and in all my artist friendships that I treasure. My wife, Christine, and her passion for seeing and collecting art along with being a true organizer of “all things” is one of the sweetest people you’ll soon meet. She is a business graduate of Portland State University and has extensive knowledge of marketing, advertising, graphic design, and technology. Along with her keen eye for seeing and appreciating the beauty within a good piece of fine art, she will be right there eager to introduce you to the artists and their story within Sojourn Fine Art.
Over the decades, we have enjoyed fostering personal relationships with each Sojourn Fine Art artist. We believe making art and collecting art is a life long journey. We look forward to connecting you and the artist together. This journey will be a memorable one by the stories and laughs we will share along the way.
OUR VISION
We are ready to redefine the standard of how fine art can be collected. Sojourn Fine Art is the place where the discriminating art collector can find quality paintings online from a well-established select group of fine artists. We differentiate ourselves by offering you the whole book by the artist, NOT just one page. We want to educate you, involve you in the artist’s story, and acknowledge you for your exquisite taste in fine art.
We also understand the Internet has changed the way fine art can be collected. The collector is NO longer confined to a brick and mortar gallery. Collectors now have the opportunity to search the world anytime and not be confined to a limited geographical area or to a select group of artists, but rather to every artist, everywhere, regardless of how little or how much they know about art. Every collector who has even the mildest interest in art now has an opportunity to search for whatever art and whichever artists attract and fascinate them the most.
We want collectors to think of Sojourn Fine Art as trusted partners. We believe trust is very important in life and in any business, especially when buying a piece of art over the Internet. You must trust your art dealer. You want to collect a quality piece of art that will withstand the test of time. We learned early on, a collector seeks an emotional connection to painting and/or sculpture the same way the artist becomes immensely connected to the subject they are creating.

You have the opportunity to enjoy the new piece from the comfort of your home for up to seven days. We know you’ll admire your purchase for life, but if for some reason during those 7 days you are not completely “elated with your one of a kind purchase” you are more than welcome to return the piece via free shipping back to us for a full refund.
